Working with Fees and Fines
Aspen provides a flexible system for recording fees, such as for sporting equipment, art supplies and field trips, and fines, such as lost textbooks. You can create fees, record payments, and print receipts.

The Cashier's Office side-tab is only available in the
Only the System Administrator and School Cashier user roles are able to enter fees, fines, and payment information. There is also a School Cashier (read-only) role, which could be used by a secretary who needs to see payment information but does not receive money.
Users with proper privileges can do the following:
- Create a fee type
- Add a fee to a student, staff member, or contact
- Add a fee to multiple students, staff members, or contacts
- Void a fee
- Delete a fee
- Record a payment
- Pay a fee online by credit/debit card
- Adjust the distribution of a payment
- Create a refund for a payment
- Delete a payment
- Print a payment receipt
There are also a number of reports you can run related to fees, fines, and payments.
