Add a fee or fine to multiple students at one time

You can add a fee to multiple students at one time, such as an equipment fee for the entire football team.

Note: Or you can add a fee to an individual student, staff member, or contact.

  1. Log on to the District or School view.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • In the District view: Click the District tab, Cashier's Office side-tab, then Cashier's Office. The Cashier's Office Input page appears.
    • In the School view: Click the School tab, Cashier's Office side-tab, then Cashier's Office. The Cashier's Office Input page appears.
  1. At the top of the page, click Multi-Add... The Cashier's Office Multi-Add Fee pop-up appears:
  1. In the Students section, select one of the following:
    • Section
    • Homeroom
    • Group
    • Query
    • Snapshot
    • Selection
  • The appropriate pick list appears.
  1. Make your selection from the pick list.
  2. Click OK.
  3. Note: Check the "Selected students" field to make sure the correct number of students appears.

  1. At the Fee type field, click Search icon. to open a pick list. Select a fee type, and click OK.
    • Once you select a fee type from the pick list, the "Fee type" field is automatically populated with your selection.
    • The Date field defaults to today. To change, click Select Date icon. to open the Date Selection pop-up. Select a date.
    • The Quantity, Price, Tax, and Amount fields are automatically populated based on the fee type you select. However, you can edit these fields if they differ from the fee type’s default values for the specific fee you are adding. For example, if you are adding a hockey stick fee with a default quantity of 1 to members of a hockey team, and each member requires two sticks, you can enter 2 in the Quantity field instead of creating two separate fees.
  1. If desired, add a Comment about this fee.
  2. The Applicable school field defaults to the current school (if logged on to the School view) or default school (if logged on to the District view). To change, click Search icon.to select a different school.
  3. Example: A student loses a book while attending elementary school, incurs a fee, and then graduates to middle school. Selecting the middle school at this field would make the fee viewable at that school. The fee will not appear on reports at the applicable school.

  1. Click Save. The fee is recorded for the selected students.
