View the Access log

Use the access log to view the history of users who have logged on to your system.

To view the access log:

  1. Log on to the District, Intermediate Organization, or School view.
  1. Click the Admin tab.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • In the District view: Click the Logs side-tab, and click Access Log.
    • In the Intermediate Organization view: Click the Access Log side-tab.
  1. You can use the Filter menu Filter icon. to view access records for the following:
    • Today (Default)
    • This Week
    • This Month
    • All Records
  • For each record, the list displays the following default fields:

    Long Name

    Description

    Start Date

    The date at which the user logged on to Aspen.

    Start Time

    The time at which the user logged on to Aspen.

    ID

    The record's identifier: a combination of its start date, start time, and the user's username.

    Format: yyyy-mm-dd - hh:mm:ss - username

    Name

    The user's name.

    End Date

    The date at which the access session ended.

    End Time

    The time at which the access session ended.

    Duration

    The total length of time the user spent logged on to Aspen, in seconds.

    End Type

    The way in which the access session ended.

    • Logout: The user logged off of Aspen.
    • Timeout: The user's access session timed out.
    • Killed: The user's access session was killed by an administrator.

    IP

    The IP address of the computer the user used to log on to Aspen.

    Page Count

    The total number of pages the user visited.

    Tool Count

    The total number of jobsClosed tasks that can be standardized and automated, such as scheduling the Daily Attendance Bulletin to automatically run every day the user ran during the session, such as reports, exports, imports, and proceduresClosed used for data manipulation or operations, such as running GPAs.
