Create Help for a template

To help users know what information to enter on a page template, Aspen system administrators can type instructions that users can access within Aspen.

In their user preferences, if a user selects to view user-defined help, the user-defined help icon  appears next to the Template drop-down. When a user hovers over , the help that their Aspen system administrator created for the template appears:

To create help for a page template:

  1. Log on to the District view.
  2. Click the Tools tab.
  3. Click the Templates side-tab.
  4. Search for and select the template you want to create help for.
  5. Click the Help sub-tab:
  1. Select the Enable Help for Templates checkbox.
  2. Use the text editor to type the information.
  3. Click Save.
