After you create schedule patterns, you need to group these patterns into pattern sets. Then you attach a pattern set to every course. This is the information that the scheduling engine uses to figure out how to schedule courses.
Create course pattern sets for each of your different shapes of courses. For example, you might create pattern sets named Flat Everyday, Two Day, EveryOther Day,and Lab. Then, associate each course with a proper pattern set, based on the shape of the course.
