Define course co- and pre-requisites

Define pre- or co-requisites for courses to determine that students must take other courses before or while taking a course. For example, a student must take Chemistry and Biology before enrolling in Anatomy and Physiology.

To define pre- and co-requisites for a course:

  1. Log on to the District view.
  2. Click the Schedule tab.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Select an existing course to define information for.
    • On the Options menu, click Add to create a new course.
  1. Click Requisite on the Courses side-tab.
  2. On the Options menu, click Add. The New Course Requisite page appears:
  1. Select if the course is a Pre-Requisite or Co-Requisite.
  2. Either type the Course ID, or click the drop-down to select a course.
  3. Type the Minimum Performance Level a student must achieve for the system to consider the course completed, such as the final grade.
  4. Click Save.

You can combine requisites into compound requisites.
