Define health log preferences

You can define requirements for your school’s health visit logs in the visit log preferences. The status of a health visit determines what fields are required when saving a health log entry.

There are four status types available:

  • Current
  • Open
  • Pending
  • Closed

In the preferences area, you can change what fields are required in order to save a record with a particular status type.

Example: "Current" requires that no additional fields be entered on top of what the district Data Dictionary specifies as required fields. If you want current health logs to contain a complaint code, you can set that up in the preferences.

The Preferences side-tab is also where you manage access to health visit logs. For security purposes, you can make all visit logs read-only to everyone except the nurse or responsible staff member. You can also change the default group screenings result code.

To define your school’s health log preferences:

  1. Log on to the Health view.
  2. Click the Admin tab.
